Dry Skin

Features: dry skin shows a below average hydration level (20-35%), peels frequently, it’s rough, fragile and sensitive, its colour is opaque and dull. Its dryness is caused by the lack of water on the superficial stratum corneum and by the lack of sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. Dry skin is extremely sensitive and it is prone to premature ageing.

Beauty Tip: to find out if you have a dry skin type, gently rub a paper tissue on your face as soon as you wake up in the morning: if the tissue is clean, but your skin feels stretched and flaked, you have a dry skin type.

Recommendations: dry skin type requires specific treatments to regenerate the water lipid film balance, to help holding water in the stratum corneum, sooth the skin and protect it from external agents. It is recommended to use cleansers which, alongside with cleaning, nourishing and soothing the skin, and to use moisturizing creams rich and restitutive at the same time, with a good level of protection.
